Florida's §681.104 notice and the final attempt

Florida's notice (§681.104) is sent after the presumption thresholds are met, by registered mail or express service, to the manufacturer. It tells the manufacturer the vehicle is a lemon under the statute and demands action.

The clock it opens: the manufacturer has 10 days to designate a reasonably accessible repair facility, and then 10 days after you deliver the vehicle to complete a final repair attempt. For recreational vehicles the total period is 45 days. If the manufacturer fails to respond or the final attempt fails, its right to another attempt is waived — and the file is ready for the Florida Motor Vehicle Arbitration Board.

Keep the mailing receipt with your repair log. In Florida files, the registered-mail receipt is often the single most important piece of paper after the repair orders themselves.
