| Presumption window | The window is the earlier of the warranty term or 1 year after delivery. |
|---|---|
| Same defect | 3+ repair attempts |
| Days out of service | 15+ business days — 15 or more WORKING days out of service (routine-maintenance downtime doesn't count). |
The presumption is the set of numbers that shifts the burden to the manufacturer. A claim can exist outside the presumption — it is a shortcut, not the whole road. Read why.
Mississippi allows a reasonable allowance for use with no published formula. This checker refuses to invent the number.
Written notification to the manufacturer gives it a final opportunity: it must contact you and complete the repair within 10 working days after the vehicle reaches the designated facility.
Dispute route: If the manufacturer maintains a qualified informal dispute procedure, it must be used before suit.
Attorney's fees: Mississippi provides attorney's fees to a prevailing consumer.
File by the earlier of 1 year after the warranty term ends or 18 months after original delivery.
